The Diamond in the Rough Awards is presented to the top ten seniors from 22 local high schools whose grade point averages improved the most from their junior to senior years. This scholarship is earned by the students, who despite any hardships they face in their personal and educational life, have still found the ambition to persevere and continue to higher education.
